Job Description: **Job Title:** Java Developer – Kafka (M/F) **Role Summary:** Design, develop, and maintain Java microservices using Spring Boot, integrating Kafka for event-driven communication. Collaborate within Scrum teams to deliver high-quality backend components, facilitate CI/CD pipelines, and ensure system reliability and performance. **Expectations:** - Deliver robust, scalable Java services with clean, maintainable code. - Actively participate in Agile ceremonies and collaborate closely with front‑end and DevOps teams. - Uphold stringent quality standards through unit testing, code reviews, and security best practices. **Key Responsibilities:** - Develop and extend backend components following microservices architecture. - Implement and consume Kafka topics for event handling. - Write comprehensive unit tests and enforce quality gates. - Investigate, debug, and resolve defects and non‑conformities. - Support continuous integration and deployment of applications. - Engage in Scrum meetings, sprint planning, daily stand‑ups, and retrospectives. **Required Skills:** - Java, Spring Boot, microservices, and API development. - Experience with Kafka event streaming. - Database proficiency with MongoDB and PostgreSQL. - Front‑end framework knowledge (Vue.js or equivalent). - Familiarity with cloud environments and DevOps practices (CI/CD, containerization). - Agility: fluent in Scrum methodology. - Strong coding discipline: clean code, code reviews, security, and performance optimization. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (preferred). - Minimum 5 years of professional experience in a similar role. - Certifications in Java, Spring, Kafka, or cloud platforms are a plus.
