Director, Software Engineering (Salesforce)
**Role Summary**
Lead the design, development, and governance of Salesforce solutions for the insurance domain. Direct a team of software engineers in delivering enterprise‑scale data models, process automation, and integration architectures that support policy, claims, and regulatory workflows.
**Expectations**
- Minimum 5 years of experience in software engineering with a focus on insurance or financial services.
- Proven leadership in a technical environment, mentoring teams and influencing product strategy.
- Deep expertise in Salesforce (Service Cloud, Financial Services Cloud, Platform Events, Omni‑Channel, API integrations).
- Strong knowledge of cloud microservices, API design (REST, GraphQL), and event‑driven architectures.
- Ability to balance platform out‑of‑the‑box capabilities with customizations to meet business objectives.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Architect and implement scalable Salesforce data models for property‑casualty products.
- Design and deploy complex case hierarchies, routing, escalation, and Omni‑Channel workflows.
- Develop integration strategies using Salesforce Connect, Data Cloud, Composite APIs, and Platform Events for real‑time syncing with core insurance systems.
- Define Change Data Capture and publish–subscribe patterns for policy lifecycle events.
- Lead governance of Financial Services Cloud deployments, adopting best practices and managing customizations.
- Evaluate and champion Agentforce and other automated servicing tools.
- Mentor and coach a team of Salesforce engineers, fostering skill development and leadership behaviors.
- Resolve high‑impact incidents, drive root‑cause analysis, and enforce health monitoring and alerting.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions and refine SDLC practices.
**Required Skills**
- Salesforce: Service Cloud, Financial Services Cloud, Lightning components, Apex, Visualforce.
- Integration: REST, GraphQL, composite APIs, Salesforce Connect, Platform Events, Event Bus patterns.
- Data modeling, case management, Omni‑Channel configuration, queue and skills‑based routing.
- Cloud architecture, microservices, API strategy, event‑driven design.
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
- Experience with security, data governance, and compliance in regulated environments.
**Required Education & Certifications**
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Salesforce Platform Developer II (core), Salesforce Administrator, and Salesforce Financial Services Cloud Specialist certifications strongly preferred.
