Job Title: IT Business Director – Enterprise Applications
Role Summary: Lead the modernization, standardization, and strategic direction of the enterprise application portfolio (ERP, QMS, ECM, and emerging platforms) for a mid‑size medical device contract manufacturer, aligning technology solutions with business objectives and driving digital transformation.
Expactations:
- Own the enterprise applications roadmap and ensure alignment with the broader Digital & IT strategy.
- Serve as the primary IT partner to operations, finance, HR, quality, and engineering, translating business needs into technology capabilities.
- Own budget, resource allocation, and vendor performance for all application initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive the enterprise applications roadmap across ERP, QMS, ECM, HCM, PLM, and future platforms.
- Lead technology evaluations, platform selections, and implementation decisions in partnership with business stakeholders.
- Promote AI and automation adoption within business systems to create competitive advantage.
- Transition project delivery from waterfall to Agile where appropriate; oversee both project execution and ongoing support.
- Coach, develop, and set performance expectations for the application delivery team.
- Build and maintain vendor relationships, manage contracts, and evaluate vendor performance.
- Participate in business‑led initiatives to ensure IT scalability and alignment.
Required Skills:
- 10+ years of experience in enterprise systems, with strong expertise in ERP and business system transformation.
- Proven ability to lead application consolidation, modernization, and cross‑functional delivery.
- Knowledge of enterprise system domains (ERP, QMS, ECM) and familiarity with HCM, PLM evaluations.
- Strong vendor management, budgeting, and team leadership skills.
- Experience with Agile methodologies; familiarity with DevOps is a plus.
- Strategic thinker with hands‑on delivery capability; comfortable driving organizational change.
- Technically curious and open to AI, automation, and emerging technologies.
Required Education & Certifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business, or a related field.
- Certifications in Agile (e.g., Scrum Master) or Enterprise Architecture (optional but preferred).
