**Job Title**
Salesforce Release Manager with Copado/DevOps
**Role Summary**
Manage and streamline end‑to‑end Salesforce release cycles leveraging Copado, GitHub, and VS Code. Lead metadata pipelines, enforce best‑practice release processes, and coordinate cross‑functional teams to deliver high‑quality applications on schedule.
**Expectations**
- Deliver timely, defect‑free releases in a regulated (telecom) environment.
- Maintain clean, auditable version control and deployment histories.
- Apply Salesforce and DevOps best practices to reduce rollback risk.
- Mentor teammates on release tooling and process adherence.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Design, document, and enforce release gates (build, test, promotion, deploy).
- Configure and manage Copado pipelines: commits, promotions, artifact storage, and deployments.
- Write and maintain metadata package.xml files and VS Code extensions for deployment automation.
- Manage GitHub repositories: branching strategy, pull requests, merge approvals, and conflict resolution.
- Execute unit and integration tests (Apex coverage ≥ 75 %), troubleshoot failures, and coordinate fixes.
- Coordinate with stakeholders to schedule releases, communicate risk, and produce release notes.
- Monitor and report on release metrics (lead time, deployment success rate, defect density).
- Continuously improve release tooling and process, integrating new features and updates from Salesforce, Copado, and GitHub.
**Required Skills**
- Deep knowledge of Salesforce metadata, Apex (coverage & testing), and platform features.
- Expertise in Copado metadata pipelines, npm packages, and deployment processes.
- Proficiency with GitHub: branching models, pull requests, merges, and merge strategies.
- Hands‑on experience with VS Code (extensions, debugging, package.xml).
- Strong understanding of CI/CD principles, automated testing, and release governance.
- Excellent problem‑solving, communication, and stakeholder‑management skills.
**Required Education & Certifications**
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Salesforce Certified Administrator (ADM 201) or Platform Developer II (DEV 401).
- Copado Certified Release Manager or equivalent DevOps certification preferred.
