Instructional Designer – Articulate Rise 360 & Workday Enablement
Role Summary
Senior instructional designer responsible for creating role‑based, scalable learning solutions for a large‑scale HR technology transformation. Works closely with HR, IT, Change Management, and external vendors to align learning programs with Workday HCM deployment milestones, ensuring enterprise adoption, readiness, and behavioral change.
Expectations
- Deliver complete learning strategies that support Workday HCM, Payroll, and Talent modules across HR, payroll, managers, and end users.
- Translate complex business processes and system configurations into learner‑centred experiences.
- Build and iterate on ILT, eLearning, microlearning, simulations, and job aids that fit within agile, phased deployment cycles.
- Monitor learning metrics, gather learner feedback, and refine content to drive adoption and performance.
- Collaborate with Change Management and Communications to ensure consistent rollout messaging.
Key Responsibilities
- Design role‑based learning assets aligned to deployment waves (UAT, rollout, sustainment).
- Develop just‑in‑time learning work‑aids and microlearning modules.
- Produce instructor‑led and digital courses using Articulate 360 / Rise.
- Translate system configurations, future‑state workflows, and business rules into instructional materials.
- Support implementation test cycles and post‑launch sustainment through continuous updates.
- Establish, track, and report on key learning metrics (completion, engagement, competency).
- Analyze learner feedback & adoption data to refine content and improve user experience.
- Coordinate with cross‑functional teams (HR, IT, Change Management, Communications) on learning requirements.
Required Skills
- 3+ years instructional design and learning development experience.
- Direct experience supporting enterprise HR technology implementations (Workday or comparable HCM).
- Strong project management and prioritization in fast‑paced, ambiguous environments.
- Advanced proficiency with Articulate 360 / Rise, Microsoft Office, and micro‑learning tools (7Taps, Synthesia, Vyond).
- Knowledge of adult learning theory, instructional systems design (ISD), and change management frameworks.
- Ability to produce instructor‑led, eLearning, simulation, walkthroughs, and job aids.
- Excellent written and verbal communication; solution‑oriented problem‑solving.
- Experience with ServiceNow (HR preferred) and experience with agile or phased deployment.
Required Education & Certifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Education, Human Resources, or related field.
- Articulate 360 certification or equivalent preferred.
- Certifications in Learning & Development, Change Management, or Workday enrollments are an advantage.
