Senior ServiceNow Platform Engineer
**Role Summary**
Lead design, development, and deployment of ServiceNow solutions that support enterprise service management. Focus on integrations, out‑of‑the‑box configurations, and low‑code development to deliver scalable, secure, and high‑performing platform enhancements. Act as a technical mentor and architectural strategist within the ServiceNow ecosystem.
**Expectations**
- Deliver complex ServiceNow integrations and enhancements in line with organizational goals.
- Provide consultative support and best‑practice guidance on low‑code platform usage.
- Influence architectural decisions, drive technical strategy, and ensure alignment with security and compliance standards.
- Mentor and guide engineering teams on system design, integration methodology, and platform capabilities.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Design, develop, test, and deploy ServiceNow solutions (ITSM, ITOM, HAM, SAM, SecOps).
- Build and maintain RESTful APIs, JSON interfaces, and integration frameworks.
- Configure and extend out‑of‑the‑box ServiceNow modules.
- Contribute to architectural direction, solution planning, and technical strategies across multiple teams.
- Partner with cross‑functional stakeholders to define scalable, secure, and high‑performing solutions.
- Ensure adherence to SDLC processes, coding standards, architectural rules, audit requirements, and external reporting needs.
- Manage product support, diagnose platform issues, and implement fixes and enhancements.
- Mentor junior engineers on design principles, integration approaches, and platform features.
**Required Skills**
- 5–7+ years of professional IT experience, with 3+ years focused on ServiceNow development.
- Strong expertise in JavaScript, RESTful APIs, JSON, and integration frameworks.
- Proficiency in IT Service Management (ITSM), IT Operations Management (ITOM), Hardware Asset Management (HAM), Software Asset Management (SAM), and Security Operations (SecOps).
- Ability to recommend, document, and enforce coding standards.
- Experience with SAFe, Agile/Scrum, and DevSecOps methodologies.
- Excellent problem‑solving, communication, and leadership skills.
**Required Education & Certifications**
- Bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.
- ServiceNow certifications (e.g., Certified System Architect, Certified Application Developer) preferred.
- Security-oriented certifications (e.g., CSX, ITIL) are a plus.
