**Job title**: Senior Software Engineer – Machine Learning
**Role Summary**:
Design, prototype, and deploy production‑level machine learning solutions for biomedical time‑series and small‑dataset applications. Lead end‑to‑end model development, from ETL and EDA to algorithm tuning, and collaborate with firmware, software, and cloud teams to embed solutions within production systems.
**Expectations**:
- Deliver robust, production‑grade Python code with comprehensive testing, version control, and documentation.
- Communicate complex findings to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders clearly.
- Maintain a high standard of engineering excellence while applying rapid iteration when required.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Perform ETL, exploratory data analysis, and feature engineering on biomedical datasets.
- Design, prototype, and refine ML algorithms for classification, anomaly detection, regression, and prediction.
- Implement and evaluate signal‑processing methods as needed.
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines, unit and integration tests, and code documentation.
- Collaborate with firmware, embedded, and cloud teams to translate models into deployable solutions.
- Produce clear technical reports and presentations for stakeholders.
**Required Skills**:
- 5+ years of end‑to‑end ML production experience.
- Expert Python (pandas, numpy, scipy, matplotlib/plotly, scikit‑learn, pytest/unittest).
- Experience with Matlab and C/C++ (preferred).
- Strong grasp of probability, statistics, linear algebra, optimization, classical and modern ML techniques.
- Proficient with CI tools, Git, Jira, and Bitbucket.
- Ability to write clean, maintainable, version‑controlled code.
- Excellent written and verbal communication for diverse audiences.
**Required Education & Certifications**:
- B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a closely related field.
