Job Title: Data Analyst Role Summary: Develop, execute, and maintain data analytics and business intelligence solutions to enhance internal audit effectiveness. Utilize advanced analytics tools to assess risk, control, and regulatory compliance across banking operations. Expectations: * Deliver actionable insights that support audit objectives and regulatory requirements. * Maintain high data integrity and reliability of analytical outputs. * Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to refine data collection and testing processes. Key Responsibilities: * Build and execute analytics using Excel, SQL, Power BI, Python, or R to support audit projects. * Query and analyze large banking datasets to identify patterns, anomalies, and control deficiencies. * Manage, update, and improve existing Power BI dashboards for audit and business stakeholders. * Conduct data extraction, validation, and integrity checks across multiple sources. * Design and test data collection and analysis procedures to ensure accurate risk and control measurement. * Verify adherence to bank policies, internal controls, and regulatory requirements. * Anticipate changes in operational risks and adjust testing programs accordingly. * Recommend process improvements to streamline audit activities. * Report findings to management and relevant team members. Required Skills: * Proficiency in Python, R, or SQL; strong interest in expanding technical capabilities. * Advanced Excel skills. * Analytical, quantitative, and problem‑solving abilities. * Process‑oriented with meticulous attention to detail. * Strong documentation and communication skills. * Ability to work under pressure, manage competing priorities, and meet tight deadlines. * Team‑oriented mindset with experience on inter‑departmental projects. Required Education & Certifications: * Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Statistics, Business Analytics, Mathematics, Economics, Computer Engineering, Decision Sciences, Data Sciences, or related field. * Relevant coursework in analytics, statistics, or data science.
