Job Description

**Job Title:** Sr. Software Engineer **Role Summary:** Lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of server‑side logic and APIs in a modern JavaScript/TypeScript stack. Drive high‑quality, scalable backend solutions that integrate with front‑end components and third‑party services in a cloud environment. **Expectations:** - Deliver robust, well‑tested code that meets functional and performance requirements. - Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to prioritize features, resolve technical debt, and ensure timely releases. - Communicate clearly with peers, product, and design stakeholders. **Key Responsibilities:** - Design, develop, and maintain REST/GraphQL APIs using Node.js or Next.js. - Integrate third‑party APIs to aggregate data and extend platform capabilities. - Collaborate with front‑end developers to integrate server‑side logic with React/Next interfaces. - Write unit tests with Jest and maintain comprehensive technical documentation and architecture diagrams. - Participate in architecture reviews, code reviews, and pair‑programming activities. - Deploy and manage services in AWS (EC2, Lambda, ECS/Fargate, RDS, S3, etc.). - Optimize existing codebase for performance, reliability, and scalability. - Lead or mentor junior engineers on best practices and coding standards. **Required Skills:** - 5+ years of backend development experience. - Strong proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript. - Expertise in Node.js, Next.js, and modern JavaScript frameworks (React). - Experience building microservices and designing scalable APIs. - Familiarity with unit testing frameworks (Jest). - Practical knowledge of AWS services and DevOps practices (CI/CD, containerization). - Ability to analyze legacy code, diagnose issues, and implement improvements. - Excellent problem‑solving, communication, and teamwork skills. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field. - Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Developer, AWS Certified Solutions Architect) are a plus. ---
