Job Description

**Job Title** Staff Software Engineer – GenAI **Role Summary** Lead design, development, and maintenance of a scalable generative AI platform that powers personalized digital experiences in the beauty and lifestyle sector. Drive end‑to‑end engineering of AI‑driven web applications, mentor junior staff, and shape architectural strategy. **Expactations** - Deliver high‑quality, production‑ready code on time and within scope. - Champion best practices for code quality, testing, and security. - Serve as a technical advisor to product, design, and AI teams. - Continuously expand knowledge of LLMs, vector search, and AI tooling. **Key Responsibilities** - Design, build, and maintain scalable, API‑driven services using TypeScript/JavaScript and Python. - Develop and optimize LLM‑based features, integrating frameworks such as LangChain. - Implement data models and queries in PostgreSQL (or equivalent). - Containerize and deploy services with Docker and orchestrate environments. - Write automated unit and integration tests; enforce test coverage and CI pipelines. - Participate in code reviews, architectural discussions, and technical decision making. - Mentor and coach junior developers, promoting a culture of technical excellence. - Stay abreast of emerging AI trends, tools, and best practices, and evangelize adoption. **Required Skills** - Proficient in TypeScript/JavaScript and Python. - Experience with FastAPI or similar backend frameworks. - End‑to‑end web application development experience. - Hands‑on with LLM applications or GenAI frameworks (e.g., LangChain). - Familiarity with PostgreSQL or comparable relational databases. - Competence in Docker, unit testing, and agile development. - Knowledge of vector databases (e.g., Pinecone) is a plus. - Strong problem‑solving, communication, and collaboration skills. **Required Education & Certifications** - Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field. - Relevant certifications in cloud, AI, or software architecture are a plus.
