**Job Title**
OpenText Technical Consultant
**Role Summary**
Technical consultant responsible for designing, developing, and delivering OpenText solutions across Content Server, Extended ECM, and Archive Center. Acts as a bridge between client technical teams and project delivery, ensuring high‑quality, on‑time, and on‑budget implementations while providing expertise in integration, security, and DevOps practices.
**Expectations**
- Demonstrated expertise with OpenText Content Server, Extended ECM, or Archive Center.
- Ability to lead technical workshops and communicate effectively with clients.
- Proven experience in project estimation, planning, and delivery within defined quality, cost, and schedule targets.
- Contribution to process standardisation and industrialisation of solutions.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Develop and customise OpenText extensions (OScript/Eclipse), Groovy, JavaScript, JSON/XML for workflows, records management, classifications, and ACLs.
- Design and implement integrations with SAP, Microsoft 365, SuccessFactors, and other enterprise systems.
- Deploy and configure Archive Center, define retention policies, and manage legal archiving requirements.
- Configure security mechanisms (SSO, LDAP/Active Directory, SAML) and develop/consume REST and SOAP APIs and Web Services.
- Produce project artefacts: functional and technical specifications, test plans, delivery documentation, and operational hand‑over.
- Estimate effort, track progress, and ensure adherence to contractual commitments.
- Manage application servers (Tomcat, IIS) and support DevOps pipelines using Git, Jenkins, Azure DevOps.
- Perform database design and advanced querying on Oracle, PostgreSQL, and SQL Server platforms.
**Required Skills**
- OpenText ecosystem: Content Server, Extended ECM, Archive Center, AnswerModules, Intelligent Viewing, OScript/Eclipse.
- Programming: Groovy, JavaScript, JSON, XML.
- Databases: Oracle, PostgreSQL, SQL Server.
- Servers/OS: Tomcat, IIS, Windows/Windows Server, Linux.
- DevOps: Git, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, CI/CD concepts.
- Integration & Security: REST, SOAP, SAML/SSO, LDAP/Active Directory.
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and client‑facing communication skills.
**Required Education & Certifications**
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- OpenText certifications (e.g., Content Server, Extended ECM) preferred.
- Additional certifications such as ITIL, PMP, or relevant security/DevOps credentials are a plus.
