Job Title: Platform Manager
Role Summary: Owns and evolves the enterprise Atlassian ecosystem (Jira Service Management, Jira Software, Confluence, Bitbucket, and DevSecOps integrations). Combines strategic planning with hands‑on engineering to modernize, automate, and integrate AI capabilities, ensuring secure, reliable, and scalable platform operations across the organization.
Expactations: Deliver a 3–5 year platform roadmap, lead a team of platform engineers, serve as the technical authority for Atlassian tools, and drive adoption, governance, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Define and execute enterprise roadmap for Atlassian platform (modernization, cloud strategy, automation, AI integration).
- Mentor and manage platform engineering team (workload planning, sprint execution, delivery).
- Architect scalable workflows, automation, and integrations using Atlassian APIs, Forge, ScriptRunner, and integration platforms.
- Own and govern CMDB/Assets module with ITIL/ITSM alignment.
- Integrate CI/CD, identity management, monitoring, and DevSecOps tools.
- Expand AI-driven features (virtual agents, predictive analytics, intelligent routing, automated remediation).
- Establish platform governance standards, lifecycle policies, and adoption programs.
- Collaborate with Engineering, Cybersecurity, Product, and Business stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable solutions.
- Communicate roadmap progress, performance metrics, and risk status to senior leadership.
- Serve as escalation point for platform incidents and strategic decisions.
- Enhance incident, change, problem, and request workflows in partnership with Service Management leadership.
Required Skills:
- 7+ years of Atlassian administration/engineering experience in enterprise settings.
- 2+ years in a leadership or senior engineering role.
- Deep expertise in JSM, JSW, workflow & automation design, Assets/Insight, and portal/service desk configuration.
- Experience implementing AI features (virtual agents, smart automation) within Atlassian.
- Proficiency with automation rules, scripting, third‑party integrations, and Atlassian APIs.
- Knowledge of ITSM, Agile, DevOps/DevSecOps practices.
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement across technical and business audiences.
- Ability to work U.S. business hours and collaborate with U.S. stakeholders.
- Familiarity with Confluence and enterprise adoption initiatives.
Required Education & Certifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Atlassian certifications: ACP‑620, ACP‑420, ACP‑520 (or equivalent).
