Job Description

Job Title: Data Scientist II – Model Validation & Monitoring Role Summary: Lead the end‑to‑end monitoring and validation of machine learning models, ensuring they meet performance, reliability, and regulatory standards for client deployments. Expectations: Deliver actionable insights and remediation plans on model degradation, maintain production‑ready code, and effectively communicate findings to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders. Key Responsibilities - Supervise model performance tracking, data/model drift detection, and data quality analysis. - Conduct rigorous validation through testing, benchmarking, and thorough documentation. - Perform root cause analysis for performance issues and propose remediation strategies. - Explore terabyte‑scale datasets with Spark to uncover anomalies affecting algorithms. - Develop production‑ready, explainable code in a dynamic environment. - Apply advanced machine learning techniques to solve complex business problems. - Collaborate with Product and Engineering teams to identify trends and opportunities. - Present insights and model results to non‑technical audiences. Required Skills - Programming: Python, R, and PySpark. - Machine learning libraries: scikit‑learn, MLlib (others acceptable). - Big data technologies: Apache Spark. - Strong SQL for handling large datasets. - Proven ability to build data pipelines and workflows. - Excellent written and oral communication, especially for non‑technical stakeholders. - Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills. Required Education & Certifications - Master’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Operations Research, or related field. - PhD or advanced degree preferred. - 2+ years of experience in data science, engineering, or related fields. ---
