**Job title:** Contract SC Solution Architect
**Role Summary:** Lead the design, governance, and delivery of enterprise‑wide application, integration, and data architectures. Provide technical direction to cross‑functional teams, enforce architectural standards, and drive alignment with business goals across a 12‑month contract.
**Expectations:** 12‑month contract under IR35, hybrid working with occasional travel to London, start in January, £750/day rate.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Lead and mentor solution architects and development teams, fostering collaboration and technical excellence.
- Drive architectural decisions for applications, integrations, and data flows, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Own and operate architecture governance forums to enforce standards, principles, and compliance requirements.
- Define modular, scalable, and maintainable application architectures that integrate seamlessly with existing systems.
- Architect integration patterns and API strategies, championing secure, reusable components.
- Design data models and flows supporting business intelligence, analytics, and operational needs, ensuring data integrity, security, and compliance.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional stakeholders to deliver workflow‑driven systems and automated processes.
- Produce clear documentation for designs, standards, and troubleshooting guides.
- Continuously identify opportunities for automation, simplification, and innovation across application, integration, and data domains.
**Required Skills:**
- Proven solution‑architect experience with leadership responsibilities.
- Deep expertise in application architecture, integration patterns, and data modeling.
- Experience running architecture governance processes and establishing standards.
- Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Ability to influence and drive architectural decisions in complex, multi‑domain environments.
- Proficiency with modern enterprise patterns, cloud services, and API design.
**Required Education & Certifications:**
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Relevant certifications such as TOGAF, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, or equivalent are preferred.
