Job Description
**Job Title:** Security Engineering Lead **Role Summary:** Lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of the organization’s security infrastructure, build and scale a high‑performing global security engineering team, and embed security across development, infrastructure, and operations lifecycles. **Expectations:** - Direct and mentor a team of security engineers, fostering continuous learning and innovation. - Deliver end‑to‑end security solutions and manage security posture for on‑prem and cloud environments. - Collaborate with product, devops, and operations to integrate security into the SDLC. - Optimize, evaluate, and report on security tools, processes, and risk mitigation strategies. **Key Responsibilities:** - Build and scale a global security engineering team. - Architect and implement cloud security, privilege/identity access management, application and system hardening, and network protection solutions. - Partner with software development, infrastructure, and operations teams to embed security throughout the lifecycle. - Evaluate and optimize existing security tools and technologies for effectiveness and efficiency. - Develop and deliver technical security training to engineering and non‑engineering stakeholders. - Maintain comprehensive documentation of security systems, processes, and controls. - Report on projects, risks, and security posture to senior management. **Required Skills:** - 3+ years in people‑leadership roles within security engineering. - 5+ years of hands‑on security engineering experience (on‑prem and cloud). - Proven experience with privilege and identity management (e.g., PAM, IAM). - Expertise in OS security, system hardening, and network security principles/protocols. - Strong analytical, risk assessment, and problem‑solving abilities. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to explain complex security concepts to diverse audiences. - Self‑starter with ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple concurrent projects. - Familiarity with DevSecOps and CI/CD security integration; scripting knowledge preferred. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field (master’s degree a plus). - Professional certifications highly desirable: CISSP, CEH, or CISM. - Linux security experience is an advantage.
