Job title: DevOps Engineer – FinTech – Cloud Infrastructure
Role Summary: Senior DevOps engineer responsible for architecting, deploying, and operating scalable, secure cloud infrastructure for a FinTech platform. Designs CI/CD pipelines, manages IaC, orchestrates containers, ensures high availability, and leads continuous improvement of DevOps practices.
Expectations: Own end‑to‑end DevOps processes; lead cross‑functional collaboration; deliver reliable, performant services; maintain rigorous security and compliance standards; actively mentor peers; participate in on‑call incident management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI) for automated builds, tests, and deployments.
- Collaborate with software teams to enable seamless integration and delivery.
- Architect, manage, and optimize cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP) for scalability and resilience.
- Develop and maintain IaC using Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation.
- Deploy, scale, and manage containerized workloads with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Write and automate system administration and operational scripts (Python, Bash, Ruby).
- Embed security, compliance, and best practices into all infrastructure components (PCI DSS, SOC2, ISO, GDPR).
- Monitor performance with DataDog, Prometheus, Grafana, and ELK stack; troubleshoot and resolve incidents.
- Maintain thorough documentation of systems, processes, and standards.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior DevOps engineers.
- Participate in a rotating on‑call schedule for incident response and service continuity.
Required Skills:
- 5+ years as a DevOps Engineer or senior equivalent.
- Deep experience with CI/CD tooling (Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI).
- Proficient in scripting (Python, Bash, Ruby).
- Expertise in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and serverless design.
- Advanced knowledge of IaC (Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation).
- Strong container and orchestration skills (Docker, Kubernetes); experience with microservices.
- Solid understanding of networking, monitoring, and logging (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, DataDog).
- Familiarity with SQL and NoSQL database tuning.
- Knowledge of security standards (PCI DSS, SOC2, ISO, GDPR) and compliance.
- Excellent problem‑solving, communication, and leadership abilities.
Required Education & Certifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (preferred).
- Relevant certifications (AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect, GCP Professional Cloud Architect, Kubernetes Certified Administrator, etc.) highly desirable.
