**Job Title** Clinical Psychologist **Role Summary** Provide specialist psychological assessment, formulation and evidence‑based interventions for adults with physical health conditions across outpatient and inpatient settings. Deliver direct therapy and indirect support, including training, supervision, and consultation with multidisciplinary teams to enhance psychologically informed care. **Expectations** * Full‑time, Band 7 Clinical Health Psychology service. * Work autonomously within HCPC and BACBC guidelines. * Maintain professional communication with patients, carers, and health/social care colleagues. * Participate in service development, teaching, and quality improvement projects. **Key Responsibilities** 1. Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments, formulate cases, and design/implement treatment plans for adults with physical health difficulties and carers. 2. Deliver evidence‑based interventions (CBT, ACT, EMDR, Compassion‑Focused Therapy) tailored to individuals’ needs. 3. Provide indirect services: supervise trainees, train non‑psychologically trained staff, and give psychological consultation to multidisciplinary teams. 4. Monitor and evaluate patient progress, adjusting interventions as required. 5. Undertake risk assessment and management, providing specialist advice to the clinical team. 6. Produce and maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation, including assessment reports and treatment notes. 7. Engage in continuous professional development and contribute to service development initiatives. **Required Skills** * Expert assessment and formulation within a multidisciplinary context. * Proficiency in CBT, ACT, EMDR, Compassion‑Focused Therapy or equivalent models. * Strong verbal and written communication; ability to convey complex concepts sensitively. * Clinical supervision and training delivery capability. * Organizational and prioritization skills to manage fluctuating workloads. * Judgement and decision‑making in risk assessment and management. * Teamworking and relationship‑building with diverse healthcare professionals. **Required Education & Certifications** * Qualified Clinical Psychologist registered with HCPC. * Post‑graduate training in high‑intensity CBT or equivalent, accredited by BACBC or relevant professional body. * Minimum of MSc (or equivalent) in Clinical Psychology or related discipline. ---
