Job Description
Job Title: Supply Chain Analyst Intern Role Summary: Provide hands‑on support for production, distribution, and demand‑supply planning processes. Analyze forecast variability, develop planning tools, and perform scenario‑based business case analysis to improve supply chain strategy and performance using tools such as SAP IBP and advanced Excel. Expactations: - Gain practical knowledge in manufacturing and capacity planning models. - Support distribution planning for non‑manufacturing regions. - Contribute to Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) activities. - Analyze customer forecast accuracy and supply performance. - Develop and refine demand‑planning tools and dashboards. - Generate inventory and supply‑chain analytics reports. - Conduct scenario analysis to assess strategy initiatives. Key Responsibilities: - Assist in production and manufacturing planning, evaluating capacity constraints. - Support distribution planning and logistics coordination. - Participate in demand and supply planning tasks aligned with S&OP. - Use SAP IBP to assess forecast variability and supply performance. - Build and maintain Excel/VBA models and Power BI dashboards for demand planning accuracy. - Produce inventory management reports and trend analyses. - Lead scenario‑based business case development for supply‑chain improvement initiatives. - Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (sales, finance, ops, IT) to gather data and validate assumptions. Required Skills: - Strong analytical and quantitative modeling abilities. - Advanced Excel proficiency (including VBA). - Experience with SAP Integrated Business Planning (IBP) or equivalent supply‑chain planning tools. - Data visualization skills (Power BI, Tableau, or similar). - Excellent written and verbal communication. - Detail‑oriented with high data accuracy. - Ability to work independently and in a fast‑paced, cross‑functional environment. - Basic programming knowledge (Python, R, SQL) is a plus. Required Education & Certifications: - Current or recent student or graduate of an undergraduate or graduate program in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, Statistics, Economics, or related field. - Coursework in demand planning, capacity planning, inventory management, or S&OP. - Certification in SAP IBP, APICS CPIM, or other relevant supply‑chain certifications is advantageous but not mandatory.
