Job title: IBM ACE Developer
Role Summary: Design, develop, and maintain enterprise integration solutions using IBM App Connect Enterprise (ACE), ensuring secure, scalable, and reliable services across APIs, middleware, and backend systems.
Expectations: Deliver high‑quality, production‑grade integrations, collaborate with architecture and business teams, perform root cause analysis, and meet defined SLAs for support activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, and test message flows, ESQL, Java, and mapping nodes in ACE.
- Develop and expose REST, SOAP, and message‑based services.
- Configure integration nodes, execution groups, and deploy artifacts to target environments.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and tune performance of ACE integrations.
- Integrate ACE with MQ, JMS, Kafka, databases (Oracle, SQL Server, DB2, MongoDB) and enterprise applications.
- Adhere to security, governance, and architectural standards.
- Participate in code reviews, unit testing, and continuous delivery pipelines.
- Provide production support and resolve incidents within SLA.
Required Skills
- Proven experience with IBM ACE (or Integration Bus/Message Broker) in production environments.
- Proficiency in ESQL, Java, message flows, mapping, and node configuration.
- Strong knowledge of MQ, JMS, Kafka, REST/SOAP protocols, XML, JSON, XSLT, XSD, WSDL, DFDL.
- Understanding of integration patterns, SOA, and API‑driven architectures.
- Experience deploying, monitoring, and troubleshooting ACE solutions.
- Solid database skills (Oracle, SQL Server, DB2, Mongo).
- Excellent troubleshooting, debugging, communication, and collaboration abilities.
Required Education & Certifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- IBM ACE Practitioner or Developer certification preferred.
