**Job Title:** Data Scientist
**Role Summary:**
Design, develop, and deploy scalable data pipelines, statistical models, and machine‑learning solutions that drive process automation, predictive analytics, and enterprise transformation. Translate data insights into actionable business decisions and operational improvements through dashboards, governance frameworks, and cross‑functional collaboration.
**Expectations:**
- Deliver end‑to‑end analytical solutions that meet business objectives within timelines.
- Maintain high data quality, integrity, and compliance with security and governance standards.
- Communicate complex analytical concepts to technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Build and optimize data pipelines (ETL/ELT) on cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Clean, validate, and integrate structured and unstructured data from enterprise sources.
- Develop statistical models, forecasts, and pattern‑recognition algorithms (regression, classification, clustering, NLP).
- Evaluate, validate, and deploy AI/ML models into production environments.
- Create interactive dashboards and visualizations using Power BI, Tableau, or equivalent tools.
- Implement data governance, metadata management, and secure access controls aligned with NIST/FedRAMP.
- Produce technical documentation, data dictionaries, model explainability reports, and compliance artefacts.
- Train end users and facilitate knowledge transfer on analytical tools and insights.
**Required Skills:**
- Programming: Python, R, SQL, PySpark, Power Query.
- Machine Learning / AI: scikit‑learn, TensorFlow, Keras, PyTorch.
- Data Visualization: Power BI, Tableau, Matplotlib, Plotly.
- Data Engineering: ETL tools, REST/JSON APIs, cloud storage (S3, Data Lake, BigQuery).
- Statistical Modeling: Regression, time‑series forecasting, clustering, anomaly detection.
- Governance & Security: Knowledge of NIST data-handling standards, FedRAMP compliance, secure pipeline design.
**Required Education & Certifications:**
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum 5–8 years of experience in data analytics, machine‑learning, or AI model deployment for IT modernization or enterprise transformation.
- Preferred certifications:
- Microsoft Certified: Data Scientist Associate or Azure AI Engineer
- Google Professional Data Engineer or AWS Certified Data Analytics – Specialty
- Certified Analytics Professional (CAP) – INFORMS
- Lean Six Sigma Green Belt
- Power BI Data Analyst Associate
