**Job title:** Physical Security Manager
**Role Summary:**
Lead and manage all physical security operations for a high‑profile corporate environment. Oversee strategic planning, vendor management, incident response, executive protection, and regulatory compliance. Provide continuous, 24/7 on‑call support to safeguard personnel, assets, and business continuity.
**Expectations:**
- Operate with the highest levels of discretion, integrity, and judgment.
- Maintain on‑call availability for emergencies, executive protection, and incident response.
- Deliver timely, accurate security status reports and project updates to senior leadership.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations (e.g., FED, OCC, Deloitte audits).
- Demonstrate proactive risk assessment and continuous improvement of physical security posture.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Develop and execute long‑term physical security strategy and roadmap aligned with business objectives.
- Manage third‑party security vendors, including personnel, integration partners, and software platforms.
- Oversee access‑control lifecycle: provisioning, troubleshooting, termination, and audit‑ready recordkeeping.
- Maintain and upgrade physical security hardware and software systems.
- Draft and present security procedure updates and standards to leadership.
- Provide executive protection for senior leaders during on‑site and travel engagements.
- Respond rapidly to threats, incidents, and emergencies; coordinate with law enforcement and emergency responders.
- Lead investigations into physical security incidents, financial crimes, and other security breaches.
- Serve as liaison to local, state, and federal agencies, fire rescue, and audit teams.
- Coordinate with Facilities, Network Operations, InfoSec, HR, Finance, IT, Risk, and Operations for integrated security solutions.
- Collaborate with Cybersecurity to secure cloud‑based and on‑premise physical security systems.
- Drive company‑wide security training (active shooter, de‑escalation, workplace violence, emergency preparedness).
- Conduct site risk assessments across the global real‑estate portfolio.
- Evaluate and deploy emerging security technologies to enhance situational awareness.
- Maintain professional relationships with industry groups (ASIS, SIA, CISA, DSAC, etc.).
- Travel as required for executive protection and on‑site duties.
**Required Skills:**
- 10+ years of proven experience in law enforcement or global corporate security.
- In‑depth knowledge of modern physical security systems, access control, CCTV, intrusion detection, and alarm platforms.
- Expertise in emergency response protocols, crisis management, and incident command.
- Strong vendor management and contract negotiation capabilities.
- Excellent analytical, investigative, and problem‑solving skills.
- Effective communication and presentation skills for senior leadership.
- Ability to work independently, make decisive judgments under pressure, and maintain confidentiality.
- Proficiency in security software, reporting dashboards, and data analysis.
- Strong teamwork and cross‑functional collaboration.
**Required Education & Certifications:**
- Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice, Security Management, Business Administration, or related field.
- Professional certifications such as Certified Protection Professional (CPP), Physical Security Professional (PSP), or Certified Executive Protection Officer (CEPO).
- Law enforcement or security clearance experience preferred.
