Job title: Application & Interoperability Engineer
Role Summary:
Design, develop, test, and support enterprise applications with a focus on interoperability (APIs, web services, data exchanges). Create functional and technical specifications, manage software configuration, coordinate deployments, and provide expert assistance to users and vendors.
Expectations:
- Deliver complete, accurate specifications and documentation on schedule.
- Maintain high quality of code, tests, and deployments.
- Work independently while collaborating effectively across business, IT, and vendor teams.
- Continuously monitor projects, identify risks, and propose improvements.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Gather business requirements and translate them into clear functional and technical specifications.
2. Design or supervise application architecture, ensuring compliance with interoperability standards.
3. Plan and execute testing strategies; oversee acceptance testing and quality assurance.
4. Produce and update technical and user documentation to support operations and onboarding.
5. Coordinate software releases, perform production controls, and support functional testing during deployments.
6. Configure software settings, manage updates, and conduct technology watch to recommend enhancements.
7. Handle application support tickets, diagnose issues, analyze incidents, and implement fixes or work‑arounds.
8. Liaise with vendors for complex incident resolution and maintain professional relationships.
9. Track project progress, identify risks, and suggest corrective actions for continuous improvement.
Required Skills:
- Deep understanding of application architecture, API/web service integration, and interoperability standards.
- Proficiency with relational databases, SQL, and data modeling.
- Experience with the full software development life cycle, test planning, and deployment processes.
- Strong analytical ability, precise documentation skills, and meticulous attention to detail.
- Self‑management, organization, project orientation, and autonomy.
- Excellent verbal and written communication; ability to explain technical concepts to non‑technical stakeholders.
- Familiarity with configuration management, CI/CD tools, and basic troubleshooting of software incidents.
Required Education & Certifications:
- Master’s degree or Engineer diploma (Bac +5) in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or Information Systems.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., TOGAF, API Management, vendor‑specific) are advantageous but not mandatory.
