Job Title: Senior Data Scientist Role Summary: Lead data science initiatives to develop AI-powered solutions for financial products. Collaborate cross‑functionally with engineering, product, marketing, finance, and analytics teams to identify high‑impact opportunities, accelerate revenue and engagement, and deliver personalized, data‑driven recommendations to members. Drive research and implementation of cutting‑edge techniques such as GenAI, deep learning, recommender systems, and advanced statistical modeling. Expectations: - Partner with stakeholders to define business metrics and design experiments, providing statistical expertise. - Translate complex technical concepts into clear business insights for product and executive leadership. - Represent the data science team in internal and external forums, acting as an evangelist for the organization. - Maintain ownership of large‑scale machine learning pipelines, ensuring scalability, reliability, and ethical considerations. Key Responsibilities: - Identify and prioritize high‑impact data science opportunities across the product portfolio. - Design and deploy advanced predictive models for targeting, recommendation, personalization, and monetization. - Engineer features from user behavior and profile data to enhance model performance. - Conduct experimentation and A/B testing, establishing robust statistical baselines. - Collaborate with AI infrastructure teams to scale models, including generative AI solutions. - Mentor and guide junior data scientists, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement. Required Skills: - 5+ years of industry experience in data science/ML, preferably in high‑growth consumer internet environments. - Deep statistical expertise (e.g., mixed‑effects models, time series, matrix factorization, collaborative filtering). - Proficiency in Python or R, SQL, and large‑scale data processing tools. - Experience with deep neural networks, the transformer architecture, or similar advanced modeling techniques. - Strong experiment design and hypothesis testing skills. - Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities. Required Education & Certifications: - Master’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, or a closely related quantitative field.
