Job Description
**Job Title:** Microsoft Desktop Support Engineer – 2nd Line **Role Summary:** Provide 1st and 2nd line technical support for Windows‑based desktops, laptops, and related services. Manage device provisioning, user account lifecycle, and security compliance using Microsoft 365, Azure AD, Intune, and related tools in a multi‑site environment. **Expectations:** - Minimum 2 years experience in desktop/IT support. - Proven hands‑on experience with Windows 10/11, Azure AD, Active Directory, and Intune. - Ability to troubleshoot hardware, software, network, and security issues. - Strong communication and problem‑solving skills; able to work independently and within a fast‑paced team. **Key Responsibilities:** - Deliver 1st and 2nd line support for hardware, software, and network incidents. - Deploy, configure, and manage Windows 10/11 devices via Intune and Autopilot. - Perform user account provisioning, de‑provisioning, and password management in Azure AD and Active Directory. - Resolve issues related to Office 365, VPN, MFA, and conditional access policies. - Apply patching, compliance checks, and security updates; monitor endpoint protection tools (e.g., Defender, Mimecast, CrowdStrike). - Maintain accurate technical documentation and contribute to knowledge‑base articles. - Assist with onboarding/offboarding processes and device inventory management. **Required Skills:** - Windows 10/11 desktop support. - Microsoft 365 administration (Exchange, Teams, SharePoint). - Azure AD, Active Directory, and Intune (MDM) configuration. - Familiarity with endpoint security solutions (Defender, Mimecast, CrowdStrike). - Basic networking concepts and VPN troubleshooting. - Strong written and verbal communication. - Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tickets simultaneously. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Associate or bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field **or** equivalent professional experience. - Preferred: Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate or comparable certification.
