Job Description

Job Title: SAP Principal Engineer (Contract to Hire) Role Summary: Lead architecture, code review, and integration for SAP S/4HANA (Private Edition on Azure) and Salesforce Field Service. Mentor development teams, drive digital transformation in Work and Asset Management, and guide secure, scalable solutions for a utility sector client. Expectations: Deliver technical leadership for large‑scale SAP and Salesforce implementations, mentor engineers, and transition outsourced development to an internal Agile DevOps team. Key Responsibilities: - Provide technical leadership and conduct code reviews for SAP ABAP and Salesforce APEX. - Guide architecture decisions for SAP S/4HANA (Private Edition on Azure) and Salesforce Field Service. - Lead SAP configuration and integration across PM, MM, FI/CO, and GRC modules, focusing on Work and Asset Management. - Support auditing and error detection in GRC, AIF, and related SAP areas. - Develop and implement Data Archiving and Disaster Recovery strategies. - Mentor technical developers, raising engineering standards and internal expertise. - Collaborate with cybersecurity teams to ensure compliance and system integrity. - Maintain IT asset inventories, product standards, and documentation artifacts. - Participate in Agile ceremonies; support DevOps teams in backlog grooming, sprint planning, and execution. - Define and lead strategic technology initiatives with TCS, IT leadership, and enterprise architects. Required Skills: - 10+ years of hands‑on SAP experience, including large‑scale implementation and support. - Fluent in ABAP coding and code review; experience coaching engineers. - SAP Fiori development and cloud‑based SAP (S/4HANA on Azure). - Salesforce Field Service implementation or support. - Deep functional knowledge of PM, MM, FI/CO, and GRC modules. - Experience in utility or energy sector clients. - Strong Agile/DevOps background with large teams (100+). - Knowledge of Azure IaaS, cybersecurity requirements, and cloud infrastructure. - Excellent communication and presentation skills for senior leadership and technical staff. Required Education & Certifications: - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline (or equivalent experience). - Relevant certifications in SAP (e.g., SAP Certified Application Associate – SAP S/4HANA) and Salesforce (e.g., Salesforce Certified Platform Developer) preferred.
