**Job Title:** Sr. Information Security Engineer
**Role Summary:**
Remote, U.S.-based contract role responsible for protecting enterprise and cloud environments through continuous monitoring, threat detection, incident response, endpoint protection, and identity‑access security. Works closely with infrastructure, cloud, and IT teams to improve overall security posture.
**Expectations:**
- Minimum 5 + years experience in information security, security engineering, or cloud security.
- Proven hands‑on expertise securing cloud platforms and managing security operations.
- Ability to work independently in a fully remote setting for a 6‑month contract.
- Must not be engaged through Corp‑to‑Corp or sub‑vendor arrangements.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Monitor, detect, and respond to security threats across enterprise systems and cloud environments.
- Investigate alerts, perform security event analysis, and lead incident response activities.
- Deploy, configure, and maintain endpoint protection solutions for user devices and infrastructure.
- Manage and optimize security monitoring and telemetry platforms.
- Support IAM initiatives, including user, device, and authentication controls.
- Collaborate with infrastructure, cloud, and IT teams to implement security controls and hardening measures.
**Required Skills:**
- Cloud security (AWS, Azure, GCP) – design, hardening, and monitoring.
- Security monitoring and SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar, Sentinel).
- Incident response and threat hunting methodologies.
- Endpoint protection platforms (e.g., CrowdStrike, Carbon Black, SentinelOne).
- Identity & Access Management concepts, policies, and tooling.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities; effective communication with cross‑functional teams.
**Required Education & Certifications:**
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Cybersecurity, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Relevant certifications preferred: CISSP, CISM, AWS Certified Security – Specialty, Azure Security Engineer Associate, or comparable security credentials.
