Job Description

**Job Title** Senior Engineer **Role Summary** Lead software development for a medical data platform, designing and delivering secure, scalable features on Google Cloud Platform while integrating AI/ML capabilities. Maintain and enhance an existing Django/React stack, create clean APIs, and champion engineering best practices across the team. **Expectations** - Minimum 5 years of professional software development experience. - Strong command of Python with Django; experience with PostgreSQL, NoSQL, and REST APIs. - Working knowledge of AWS and/or GCP infrastructure, including Terraform, Kubernetes, and Docker. - Interest and exposure to AI/ML integration within production systems. - Proven problem‑solving skills, meticulous attention to detail, and effective cross‑functional communication. **Key Responsibilities** - Design and implement scalable services for the next‑generation AI‑enhanced platform on GCP. - Develop, deploy, and maintain Django‑based web applications, ensuring performance and maintainability. - Build and refine internal and external RESTful APIs, adhering to documentation standards. - Integrate AI/ML models for document classification, NLP, and generative tasks into production workflows. - Advocate and enforce best practices in code quality, testing, CI/CD, and DevOps culture. **Required Skills** - Python (Django framework) – 5+ years. - Relational & NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MongoDB). - REST API design and development. - Cloud platforms: AWS and/or GCP (compute, storage, networking). - Containerization (Docker), orchestration (Kubernetes), microservices concepts. - AI/ML fundamentals and experience with GCP AI services or equivalent frameworks. - Strong version control (Git), CI/CD pipelines, automated testing. - Excellent written and verbal communication. **Required Education & Certifications** - Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field. - Optional certifications: GCP Professional Data Engineer, AWS Certified Developer, or similar.
