Job Description

**Job Title:** Lead Developer **Role Summary:** Lead the design, development, and delivery of a next‑generation Matching Engine platform that allocates Carbon Offsets and Renewable Energy Certificates in real time. Provide technical leadership across UI, backend, and data streaming components while ensuring scalability, security, and alignment with enterprise architecture. **Expactations:** - 8+ years of IT experience, including 3+ years of hands‑on development leadership. - Proven ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications and deliver end‑to‑end solutions. - Strong collaboration with architects, product managers, data engineers, and UI/UX designers. - Up‑to‑date with emerging technologies in real‑time systems and carbon markets. **Key Responsibilities:** - Architect and lead end‑to‑end development of the Matching Engine platform. - Build web‑based UI (React or Angular) for viewing inventory, monitoring demand, and configuring allocation rules. - Design and implement a rule execution engine and integrate it with real‑time data lake updates. - Define APIs, microservices, data flows, and integration patterns; ensure cloud‑native deployment (AWS/Azure/GCP). - Collaborate with Data Engineering to align streaming architecture (Kafka, Spark Streaming, Flink) with matching logic. - Enforce scalability, security, and enterprise architectural standards throughout development, testing, and deployment. - Provide technical guidance and mentorship to development teams. **Required Skills:** - UI development: React or Angular. - Backend development: Node.js, Java, or .NET. - Real‑time stream processing: Apache Kafka, Spark Streaming, or Flink. - Data lake technologies: Delta Lake, AWS Lake Formation, Azure Data Lake. - Business rule engine design and implementation (Drools, Camunda, or custom). - Cloud‑native architecture (AWS, Azure, or GCP). - Strong problem‑solving, communication, and stakeholder‑management abilities. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field. - No specific certifications required, but certifications in cloud platforms (e.g., AWS Solutions Architect) or data engineering are a plus.
