**Job Title:** Data Scientist – Generative AI (Manager)
**Role Summary:**
Lead and mentor a multidisciplinary data science team to design, develop, and deploy enterprise‑grade Generative AI solutions. Define the strategic roadmap for GenAI adoption, align initiatives with business objectives, and ensure delivery of scalable LLM‑based applications, retrieval‑augmented generation (RAG) pipelines, and model fine‑tuning across multiple domains.
**Expectations:**
- 10+ years of data science/machine‑learning experience, including ≥3 years in a people‑management role.
- Proven ability to take AI concepts from prototype to production at scale.
- Strong technical leadership, stakeholder influence, and clear communication with both technical and non‑technical audiences.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Lead, coach, and grow a team of data scientists and engineers.
- Define and execute the GenAI strategy and product roadmap.
- Oversee fine‑tuning of foundation models using domain‑specific data.
- Architect and implement scalable RAG pipelines, embedding models, and vector‑database integrations (e.g., FAISS, Pinecone, ChromaDB).
- Establish best practices for prompt engineering, model evaluation, bias mitigation, and MLOps deployment.
- Collaborate with product, engineering, and MLOps teams to deliver end‑to‑end AI workflows via APIs or applications.
- Stay current on LLM, transformer, and GenAI advancements to maintain competitive advantage.
- Represent the data science function in leadership forums, translating technical impact into business value.
**Required Skills:**
- Python programming; deep expertise in ML/AI frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow, Hugging Face, Transformers, LangChain).
- Hands‑on experience with LLMs such as GPT‑4, Claude, Mistral, LLaMA and related ecosystems (LangChain, LlamaIndex, PromptFlow).
- Knowledge of embedding models, semantic search, and vector database technologies.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS) and MLOps practices (CI/CD, containerization, monitoring).
- Strong leadership, people‑management, and stakeholder‑management abilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
**Required Education & Certifications:**
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Machine Learning, Statistics, or a related quantitative field (minimum).
- Master’s degree or PhD preferred.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Machine Learning – Specialty, TensorFlow Developer Certificate, or comparable) are a plus.
