**Job Title:** Network Security Engineer
**Role Summary:**
Design, implement, and maintain large‑scale network security solutions, with a focus on Network Access Control (NAC) and Cisco access switching/wireless platforms. Provide documentation, testing, and troubleshooting for secure network operations in complex environments.
**Expectations:**
- Hybrid work model (3 days onsite, 2 days remote).
- Contract duration ≥ 6 months.
- Deliver security designs, test plans, and documentation aligned with business/technical requirements.
- Collaborate with network and security teams to monitor and resolve networking issues.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Design and document large‑scale network security architectures, especially for financial‑industry environments.
- Configure and manage NAC technologies (802.1x, MAC Authentication Bypass, TrustSec) on Cisco, Forescout, or Armis platforms.
- Deploy and maintain Cisco Catalyst switches and Wireless LAN Controllers.
- Develop and execute testing/certification processes based on defined requirements.
- Monitor network performance, diagnose issues, and provide timely remediation.
- Contribute to automation and scripting initiatives for configuration and process efficiency.
**Required Skills:**
- Hands‑on experience with NAC solutions (802.1x, MAB, TrustSec) on Cisco, Forescout, or Armis.
- Strong knowledge of Cisco access switching and wireless (Catalyst switches, WLC).
- Solid understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, RADIUS, networking protocols).
- Proven ability to design, document, and certify large‑scale network security implementations.
- Experience troubleshooting complex networking issues.
**Preferred Skills:**
- UNIX/Linux system administration.
- Network automation/scripting (Python, Ansible, Bash/Shell, API integration).
- Familiarity with CI/CD, Git, Docker, Kubernetes, Splunk.
- Knowledge of Cisco SD‑Access, DNA Center, and Catalyst Center.
**Required Education & Certifications:**
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNP Security, CISSP, CCIE Security) are preferred.
