Job Description
Job Title: Business Analyst Role Summary: Provide analytical support for customer/brand strategy, standardize reporting processes, and drive operational improvements across product management, cataloging, IT, sales, and marketing. Expectations: Deliver actionable insights from large data sets, maintain and enhance reporting tools, support inventory optimization, and contribute to business case development. Key Responsibilities: - Collaborate cross‑functionally to achieve customer strategy objectives. - Analyze large data sets, summarize findings, and report to internal sales teams. - Maintain and improve internal reporting and analytics platforms. - Identify process gaps and document procedures for training. - Support day‑to‑day operations such as inventory optimization, returns, and activity tracking. - Participate in Special Markets working groups, validate POs, and coordinate customer deliveries. - Provide business case support for new custom inquiries (parts, bulk delivery, etc.). - Enhance inventory optimization through data integrity, validation, formatting, and reporting. - Produce scheduled inventory and opportunity reports for key accounts. - Maintain the inventory optimization tool, offering user support and documentation. - Conduct ad‑hoc analyses to support evolving customer strategy needs. Required Skills: - Advanced SQL querying (Snowflake or equivalent). - Hands‑on Power BI for reporting and data visualization; familiarity with Tableau, Microsoft Access, PowerPoint is a plus. - Experience with KNIME is desirable. - Exceptional Excel and data analysis capabilities. - Ability to distill large data sets into clear, actionable insights. - Strong problem‑solving orientation and data‑centric solution delivery. - Excellent written and verbal communication; comfortable presenting analyses to teams and management. - Proven ability to manage multiple deadlines and deliverables. - Attention to data quality and integrity. Required Education & Certifications: - Bachelor’s degree or college diploma. - 2–5 years of relevant analytical experience (automotive or aftermarket parts experience is an asset but not required). - No specific certifications mandated; proficiency in SQL and Power BI is essential.
