Business Analyst
**Role Summary**
The Business Analyst gathers, documents, and validates business and technical requirements, facilitates stakeholder workshops, and creates comprehensive technical documentation to guide integration, design, and testing activities. The role requires strong coordination across multiple resource teams, adherence to Florida state regulations, and the ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, actionable artifacts.
**Expectations**
- Lead and document requirements gathering and system design processes.
- Ensure requirements are clear, complete, and aligned with business and technical objectives.
- Produce traceability matrices, design documents, and testing specifications.
- Coordinate integration schedules and technical training across cross‑functional teams.
**Key Responsibilities**
1. Conduct stakeholder interviews and capture business/technical requirements.
2. Facilitate JAD sessions, steering discussions on processes, system needs, and user expectations.
3. Verify captured requirements for completeness, clarity, and alignment with objectives.
4. Author and review technical documentation: specifications, design documents, traceability matrices, process flows, and test plans.
5. Review deliverables to ensure compliance with quality and regulatory standards.
6. Schedule and manage technical integrations involving multiple resource teams.
7. Organize and deliver training sessions and technical presentations.
8. Facilitate business and technical analysis, design, and planning meetings.
9. Consolidate, edit, and normalize data using defined rules.
10. Apply knowledge of Florida Administrative Code 60GG‑2 and State of Florida Cybersecurity Standards to ensure compliance.
**Required Skills**
- 5+ years of experience in requirements gathering, technical documentation, and design.
- Proficiency with Microsoft M365 Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint).
- Strong facilitation skills for workshops, training, and cross‑team meetings.
- Ability to develop traceability matrices, design documents, and testing artifacts.
- Experience managing integration schedules across multiple teams.
- Data consolidation, editing, and normalization expertise.
- Familiarity with web, network infrastructure, network communication, and security concepts (preferred).
- Knowledge of Florida state rules, regulations, and cybersecurity standards (mandatory).
**Required Education & Certifications**
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.
- Relevant certifications such as CBAP, PMI-PBA, or equivalent (preferred).
