Job Title: ServiceNow Event Management Integration Specialist Role Summary: Implement, configure, and maintain the integration between ServiceNow Event Management and Microsoft System Center Operations Manager (SCOM). Enable seamless event ingestion, correlation, and alerting to improve incident response and operational visibility. Expactations: • 10+ years of experience in ServiceNow and enterprise monitoring solutions. • Proven track record of designing and deploying event management integrations in complex environments. • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with a focus on continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities: - Configure ServiceNow Event Management to receive and process alerts from SCOM. - Deploy and manage MID Server and Event Connector for secure bi‑directional communication. - Define event rules, correlation logic, deduplication, and escalation policies. - Map SCOM alerts to CMDB CI classes for accurate impact analysis. - Develop dashboards, filters, and reports for real‑time monitoring. - Collaborate with infrastructure, operations, and monitoring teams to validate event flow and troubleshoot integration issues. - Document integration architecture, workflows, and best practices. Required Skills: - Hands‑on expertise with ServiceNow Event Management and IntegrationHub. - In‑depth knowledge of SCOM architecture, alerting, and event handling. - Proficiency in MID Server configuration and event connector deployment. - Strong understanding of CMDB relationships, impact analysis, and ITOM concepts. - Ability to design event correlation rules and remediation workflows. - Excellent troubleshooting, documentation, and communication abilities.
