**Job Title:** Zscaler Engineer
**Role Summary:**
Provide day‑to‑day operational, engineering, and support services for a federal customer’s Zscaler ecosystem (ZPA, ZIA, ZDX, ZCC). Design, configure, and tune the deployment, integrate with third‑party APIs, document solutions, and ensure performance, security, and disaster‑recovery readiness across Azure, AWS, and GCP environments.
**Expectations:**
- U.S. citizenship required; subject to federal background investigation and Top Secret or DHS clearance.
- 5 days onsite commitment (no relocation or remote options).
- Work independently with strong written and verbal communication skills.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Manage ongoing operations, maintenance, and upgrades of Zscaler suite.
- Configure and fine‑tune ZPA, ZIA, ZDX, ZCC for optimal performance and alerting.
- Integrate Zscaler with third‑party solutions via API.
- Design network data flows, troubleshoot SD‑WAN, routing, firewalling, and policy‑based routing.
- Produce comprehensive documentation: data flow diagrams, user guides, operating procedures, disaster‑recovery plans.
- Coordinate with executives and technical management on security capabilities and project status.
- Support cloud services (Azure, AWS, GCP): virtual server deployment, private service edges, elastic IPs/interfaces, load balancers, monitoring, and audit trails.
- Provide internal consulting, training, and technical guidance to developers and operations staff.
**Required Skills:**
- 10+ years of experience in network design, network engineering, and operational support.
- Deep expertise in Zscaler Private Access, Internet Access, Digital User Experience, and Client Connector.
- Strong network engineering: SD‑WAN, routing, firewalling, policy routing, ports, protocols.
- Cloud engineering: deployment, management of virtual servers, elastic IPs, load balancers, and monitoring solutions.
- Proficiency with Linux, Windows, and cloud platforms.
- Ability to document architecture, processes, and disaster‑recovery strategies.
- Excellent communication and self‑directed work style.
**Required Education & Certifications:**
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Top Secret or DHS security clearance.
- Valid U.S. citizenship; willing to undergo federal background investigation.
