Job Title: Senior Applied AI Engineer / Generative AI Engineer (Contract)
Role Summary:
Design, prototype, and deploy large‑language‑model (LLM) driven solutions for automotive use cases. Lead full‑stack AI workflows from concept to production, integrating RAG pipelines, intelligent multi‑agent systems, and cloud‑native deployments.
Expectations:
* U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident required.
* 12+ month contract, hybrid/remote options.
* Demonstrated ability to translate research into production‑ready solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and ship LLM‑based applications, Retrieval‑Augmented Generation (RAG) systems, and agentic workflows.
* Build end‑to‑end AI solutions, including front‑end (React) and back‑end APIs, using Docker and Kubernetes.
* Rapidly prototype proof‑of‑concepts (PoCs) and minimum viable products (MVPs), tuning model performance for deployment.
* Design, deploy, and maintain vector databases and embedding‑retrieval pipelines (Pinecone, FAISS, ChromaDB).
* Operate and integrate AI models on cloud platforms (AWS SageMaker, Bedrock, Azure OpenAI).
* Enforce governance, security, and MLOps best practices throughout the AI lifecycle.
Required Skills:
* 8+ years of software engineering, 3+ years in AI/ML.
* Proficiency in Python and deep‑learning frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow).
* Hands‑on experience with Hugging Face, LangGraph, LlamaIndex, AutoGen, CrewAI, or similar.
* Expertise in RAG, prompt engineering, and vector database technologies.
* Cloud AI deployment knowledge (AWS SageMaker/Bedrock, Azure OpenAI).
* Full‑stack development: React, REST/GraphQL APIs, Docker, Kubernetes.
* Strong understanding of MLOps principles, model governance, and security compliance.
Required Education & Certifications:
* Bachelor’s or higher degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Data Science, or related field.
