Job Title: Powertrain Manufacturing Test Engineer
Role Summary: Develop, implement, and continuously improve in‑line and end‑of‑line testing for electric drive units, stators, and rotors in a high‑volume production environment, ensuring reliability, performance, and compliance with quality and safety standards.
Expectations: 5‑10+ years in test engineering within automotive or electric powertrain manufacturing; strong background in automated test equipment, data acquisition, and statistical process control; proven ability to lead vendor selection and system integration; excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
Key Responsibilities: • Define and manage test specifications, parameters, and acceptance criteria for EDUs, stators, and rotors.
• Analyze test data, diagnose failures, conduct root cause analysis, and drive corrective actions.
• Optimize testing processes through data‑driven analysis and feedback loops with manufacturing and quality teams.
• Train maintenance and production personnel on test equipment operation and troubleshooting.
• Lead end‑to‑end sourcing, design, and implementation of an EOL test rig: scope definition, RFQ generation, vendor evaluation, selection, and technical/commercial alignment.
• Oversee vendor management through design, build, FAT/SAT, and on‑site commissioning, ensuring integration, safety, quality, and throughput requirements are met.
Required Skills: • Test engineering in automotive/electric powertrain production.
• Specification, sourcing, and launch of automated test equipment for high‑volume manufacturing.
• Proficiency in test automation, data acquisition systems, and industrial instrumentation.
• Knowledge of statistical process control (SPC) and design of experiments (DOE).
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and cross‑functional collaboration skills.
Required Education & Certifications: • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or related field.• Valid driver’s license (optional but beneficial).
