Job Title: Solutions Architect
Role Summary: Senior, enterprise‑level Solutions Architect focused on Active Directory (AD) security, compliance, and governance. Leads design, recommendation, and implementation of AD GPOs, trusts, and privileged access across a large banking environment, collaborating with vendors, internal AD operations, and security teams. Works through change advisory board (CAB) processes to effect secure, standards‑compliant deployments.
Expactations: 12‑month contract (possible extension), hybrid 3‑day office commitment, reporting to Senior Manager – Enterprise Platform AD Operations. Requires independent project ownership, stakeholder coordination, and adherence to bank change management standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze AD environment and reports to identify gaps in policy, GPOs, and trust configurations.
- Recommend and implement security best‑practice changes to GPOs, AD trusts, and privileged access controls.
- Remove redundant or insecure GPOs and trusts, ensuring alignment with bank security and compliance frameworks.
- Attend weekly project meetings, providing technical input and status updates.
- Coordinate with third‑party vendors, AD support, and security teams to deliver solutions within CAB approvals.
- Document design decisions, procedures, and change logs for audit and knowledge sharing.
Required Skills:
- 10+ years hands‑on experience deploying and supporting AD, GPO, DNS in large corporate (2,500+ users) environments.
- 8+ years as a Solution Architect and AD subject‑matter expert.
- Advanced knowledge of AD security principals, standards, GPOs, trusts, and privileged access management.
- Microsoft certification (e.g., MCSE, MCSA) mandatory; additional AD‑specific certifications preferred.
- Proficiency in PowerShell scripting and understanding of project management principles.
- Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder‑management abilities.
- Spanish language preferred (optional).
Required Education & Certifications:
- Post‑secondary degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related IT field (asset).
- Microsoft certifications required; additional relevant security or AD certifications advantageous.
