Job Description

**Job Title:** Head of Security Engineering & Risk - Director Level **Role Summary:** Lead technical strategy to evolve security into a centralized, engineering-driven function supporting growth in a multi-entity, insurance organization. Focus on identity, cloud/SaaS, endpoint security, M&A integration, and incident response. Progression path to VP and CISO roles. **Expectations:** Hands-on technical leadership in security engineering, risk-based decision-making, and executive-level strategic planning. Manage distributed security operations across acquired entities with emphasis on pragmatic, scalable solutions. **Key Responsibilities:** - Architect and govern identity systems (Microsoft Entra ID/Azure AD, IAM, PIM, RBAC). - Implement cloud/SaaS security (CASB, DLP, secure-by-design systems). - Oversee endpoint/device security (hardening, compliance, phishing defense). - Design/maintain SIEM, detection engineering, and incident response playbooks. - Integrate security frameworks post-M&A, aligning tenants and risk protocols. - Collaborate with infrastructure teams on threat mitigation and system resilience. **Required Skills:** - Expertise in IAM, cloud security, and endpoint protection technologies. - Advanced knowledge of Zero Trust, threat mitigation, and SIEM platforms. - Leadership in multi-entity/MSP environments, with hands-on technical execution. - Strong risk assessment, executive communication, and cross-functional coordination. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or related field. - Certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CISA) or equivalent industry-recognized credentials.
