**Job Title**
Information Security Engineer – Nearshore
**Role Summary**
Design, implement, and manage enterprise security controls across cloud, Windows, Linux, and macOS environments. Oversee endpoint detection & response, security information and event management, user behavior analytics, and security orchestration platforms to protect infrastructure, data, and operations.
**Expectations**
- Deliver effective security solutions with minimal guidance on a contract basis.
- Communicate findings and recommendations clearly to both technical teams and business stakeholders.
- Maintain up‑to‑date documentation and adhere to industry security frameworks and regulatory requirements.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Select, configure, and tune at least three security technologies (e.g., EDR, SIEM, UEBA, SOAR).
- Monitor security events, analyze incidents, and execute rapid remediation.
- Conduct threat landscape assessments and update controls accordingly.
- Develop and refine cyber security policies, standards, and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with ISO 27001, NIST CSF, PCI DSS, GDPR, and applicable laws.
- Provide incident response support and post‑incident analysis.
- Produce detailed technical and executive documentation.
**Required Skills**
- ≥3 years of cyber security experience in enterprise settings.
- Proficient administration of EDR, SIEM, UEBA, SOAR, or similar tools.
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and troubleshooting abilities.
- Working knowledge of SaaS, PaaS, IaaS cloud environments; Windows, Linux, macOS; networking basics.
- Deep understanding of threat landscape, defensive controls, and security best practices.
- Excellent verbal & written communication; documentation proficiency.
- Detail‑oriented, highly organized, and self‑motivated with ability to function independently or in a team.
**Required Education & Certifications**
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related discipline (or equivalent experience).
- Preferred certifications: CISSP, CEH, CCSP, or comparable credentials.
