Job title: Cyber Security Analyst
Role Summary: Bilingual cyber security analyst tasked with monitoring security systems, rapid incident response, conducting vulnerability assessments, designing security policies, ensuring compliance with global and local standards, and supporting security tool rollouts for international affiliates.
Expactations: 3–5 years in a technical security role, with at least 1 year in vulnerability management, network security, endpoint security, or cyber governance & risk management; prior experience as a Technical Lead is a plus. Must be fluent in Japanese and English and have a demonstrated record of working directly with clients and managing supplier relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
- Continuously monitor firewalls, IDS/IPS, antivirus, and other security appliances for anomalies.
- Promptly respond to security incidents, investigate breaches, document findings, and implement corrective actions.
- Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration tests; recommend and prioritize security improvements.
- Develop, update, and enforce security policies, procedures, and best‑practice guidelines to meet industry standards.
- Analyze emerging cyber threats and trends to proactively mitigate risks.
- Collaborate with IT, legal, compliance, and business units to ensure integrated cybersecurity strategies.
- Produce incident reports and compliance documentation for management and regulatory bodies.
- Lead security compliance initiatives aligned with global and local controls.
- Support the rollout of new security tools to Japan affiliates and provide ongoing tool support.
- Identify customer and product needs, proactively resolve issues and recommend process improvements.
- Participate in Kaizen processes and root‑cause analysis with cross‑functional teams.
- Execute special security projects on an ad‑hoc basis.
Required Skills:
- Proficiency in monitoring and incident response tools (firewalls, IDS/IPS, AV).
- Expertise in vulnerability management, network security, endpoint protection, and cyber governance.
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication in Japanese and English.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Superior organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize tasks.
Required Education & Certifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CEH, CRISC) preferred but not mandatory.
