Job Title: Junior Data Analyst
Role Summary: Support the AI/Data Science team by preparing high‑quality datasets, conducting exploratory analysis, and assisting with ML pipeline development and validation. Translate analytical results into clear insights for stakeholders and contribute to AI governance and tool evaluation.
Expectations:
- 1–2 years in data analysis or related field.
- Strong analytical mindset, detail orientation, and excellent communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks while keeping work reproducible and well documented.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collect, clean, validate, and document datasets from diverse sources (sensors, APIs, files).
- Perform exploratory data analysis, identify trends, anomalies, and data quality issues.
- Produce clear visualisations, dashboards, and written reports for technical and non‑technical audiences.
- Assist AI/Data Science Specialist in building, testing, and evaluating ML pipelines (feature prep, model testing, metric application).
- Run experiments, compare model results, and support validation of outputs.
- Explore and evaluate off‑the‑shelf AI tools, document findings, limitations, and risks.
- Support adherence to data and AI governance, quality standards, and risk mitigation.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams, participate in code reviews and retrospectives.
Required Skills:
- Proficiency in Python with pandas, NumPy, and data‑visualisation libraries (matplotlib, seaborn).
- Experience with BI tools (Power BI, Tableau) or equivalent.
- Basic understanding of machine‑learning concepts (supervised, unsupervised).
- Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and clear written communication.
- Organized documentation practices; familiarity with version control (Git).
- Comfortable working within defined data‑management and governance standards.
Required Education & Certifications:
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) in Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or related field.
