Job Description
Job title: FEA Engineer Role Summary: Conduct thermal and mechanical finite element analysis for advanced energy storage systems, collaborating closely with battery and mechanical design teams to validate robustness and performance. Expectations: Deliver accurate, timely simulation results; maintain clear documentation; support design decisions with evidence-based analysis. Key Responsibilities: - Perform FEA simulations (mechanical, thermal, shock, vibration, crash/crush) on Li‑Ion battery systems. - Validate mechanical robustness and thermal performance of battery modules and assemblies. - Create and maintain engineering documentation for simulation setup, results, and design recommendations. - Collaborate with battery system and mechanical design engineers to integrate FEA outcomes into product development. - Utilize ANSYS and Abaqus for structural and thermal analysis; apply CAD data from SolidWorks. - Review and refine model strategies to improve accuracy and computational efficiency. Required Skills: - Proficiency in ANSYS and Abaqus for structural and thermal analysis. - Experience with SolidWorks (≥1 year). - Strong knowledge of Li‑Ion battery thermal management and mechanical design. - Background in automotive/tier‑1 systems or similar assembly-level projects. - Ability to analyze crash, crush, mechanical shock, and vibration scenarios. - Excellent written and verbal communication in English. Required Education & Certifications: - Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline (or equivalent experience). - Minimum 5 years of focused FEA experience, preferably within automotive or battery systems.
