**Job Title:** Business Development Representative **Role Summary:** Drive outbound prospecting and early-stage sales pipeline for large enterprise cloud customers focused on sustainability. Manage lead generation, qualification, and initial discovery calls, with potential to close deals up to £50k. Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing and operations to refine outreach and support event follow-up. **Expactations:** - Consistently achieve outbound quota and pipeline targets. - Generate qualified opportunities that progress through the sales cycle. - Demonstrate growth toward a Junior Account Executive role by managing full sales cycles. - Provide actionable feedback on outreach effectiveness and market messaging. **Key Responsibilities:** - Own outbound activity across target accounts and personas; build and maintain sequencing with automation tools. - Create, refine, and maintain lead lists using LinkedIn Sales Navigator and Salesforce. - Qualify inbound leads, ensuring timely follow‑ups and appropriate hand‑over. - Support early sales cycle activities—discovery calls, scoping, and handover of opportunities under £50k. - Attend and follow‑up on events and conferences, including international ones. - Collaborate with marketing on outbound campaigns, email outreach, and content creation for LinkedIn, blogs, and newsletters. - Provide feedback on messaging, personas, and outreach performance. **Required Skills:** - 1–4 years experience as a BDR/SDR in tech, SaaS, IT, DevOps, or FinOps environments. - Proficiency with Salesforce, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, sequencing tools (e.g., Outreach, SalesLoft), and CRM systems. - Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to manage high‑volume activity. - Self‑motivated, results‑driven, and comfortable taking ownership of the early sales cycle. - Comfortable engaging senior stakeholders (CIO, CTO, FinOps Lead, Cloud Head, Sustainability Officer). **Required Education & Certifications:** - Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Business, Marketing, Information Technology, or related field preferred. - No mandatory certifications required, though familiarity with sales methodologies or SaaS platforms is advantageous.
