Job Description

Job Title: Senior Java Developer Role Summary: Lead the adaptation of existing Java/J2EE applications to meet emerging Post‑Quantum Cryptography (PQC) standards, ensuring quantum‑ready encryption and secure communication protocols. Expactations: Own end‑to‑end security remediation for multi‑tier applications; collaborate with vendors on quantum‑ready releases; serve as proactive liaison across development teams; deliver secure, compliant code and documentation. Key Responsibilities: - Analyze Java/J2EE codebases to identify vulnerabilities related to future quantum threats. - Implement security updates, including TLS/SSL hardening, data encryption, and protocol adjustments to satisfy PQC requirements. - Integrate third‑party quantum‑ready components and validate compatibility. - Coordinate with subject‑matter experts and cross‑functional teams (≈20 members) to gather requirements and drive timely security fixes. - Communicate progress and risks to stakeholders, ensuring alignment and swift resolution. Required Skills: - 8+ years Java/J2EE development experience. - Proven architecture of 3‑tier/multi‑tier applications (UI, application logic, database). - Strong knowledge of application security fundamentals: SSRF, TLS, web server hardening, data encryption. - Excellent proactive communication and stakeholder management. - Familiarity with Linux/RHEL environments (preferred). - Python scripting experience (preferred). Required Education & Certifications: - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field. - Relevant security certifications (e.g., CISSP, CEH, or equivalent) are advantageous but not mandatory.
