Job Description
Job title: Data Privacy Paralegal Role Summary: Provide specialist legal support for privacy operations, ensuring compliance with GDPR/EU GDPR, DPA, PECR, and related regulations. Facilitate day‑to‑day requests and documentation, and assist the Data Protection Officer in monitoring and advisory functions. Expectations: - Act as the primary point of contact for data subject and supervisory authority requests. - Maintain up‑to‑date privacy records and assessment documents. - Apply AI tools such as Harvey AI to improve workflow efficiency. - Upkeep continuous compliance across business units. Key Responsibilities: - Manage DSARs, SARs, and privacy inquiries, ensuring timely and accurate responses. - Conduct, document, and review DPIAs, LIAs, and TRAs using standard templates. - Update and audit Records of Processing Activities (ROPA). - Support the DPO with compliance monitoring, audits, and advisory tasks. - Ensure organization-wide adherence to GDPR/EU GDPR, DPA, and PECR requirements. Required Skills: - Proven experience with GDPR/EU GDPR compliance and privacy law. - Competency in drafting and evaluating DPIAs, LIAs, TRAs, and ROPAs. - Knowledge of DPA, PECR, and other regulatory frameworks. - Familiarity with AI legal tools (e.g., Harvey AI). - Strong analytical, detail‑oriented, and organizational abilities. Required Education & Certifications: - Bachelor’s degree in Law, Legal Studies, or related field (preferred). - Professional certification in privacy (e.g., CIPP/E, CIPT, or similar) is highly advantageous.
