SAP ABAP Technical Developer
**Role Summary**
Develop and maintain SAP ABAP solutions for Sales & Distribution (SD), Order-to-Cash (OTC), and logistics modules. Build, test, and support ABAP objects, ensuring alignment with business requirements. Lead API programming and integration tasks to connect SAP with external systems.
**Expectations**
- 9–12 month full‑time contract, onsite in San Jose, CA.
- Requires US work eligibility (W2/1099/C2C).
- Immediate availability preferred.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Design, code, and test ABAP programs, reports, interfaces, enhancements, forms, and objects.
- Build and maintain ABAP objects (functions, classes, modules, tables) within SD, OTC, and logistics environments.
- Lead API development and integration for seamless data exchange across SAP and third‑party systems.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to analyze business needs, translate them into technical solutions, and implement them.
- Perform code reviews, unit testing, and defect resolution.
- Document technical specifications, design decisions, and user guides.
- Provide support for production issues and change requests.
- Ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices.
**Required Skills**
- 8 + years of hands‑on SAP ABAP development experience.
- Deep working knowledge of SD, OTC, and logistics modules.
- Strong API programming experience (REST, SOAP, OData).
- Proficiency in ABAP OO, ALV, BAPI, BADI, user exits, and other enhancement techniques.
- Experience with ABAP debugging, performance tuning, and security.
- Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
**Required Education & Certifications**
- Minimum bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- SAP ABAP certification highly desirable (e.g., SAP Certified Development Associate – ABAP).
