**Job title:** Director, Platform Enablement & Infrastructure Operations
**Role Summary:**
Lead and manage a multidisciplinary IT team that designs, implements, and optimizes the organization’s digital infrastructure. Responsible for strategic planning, budget oversight, and continuous improvement of enterprise IT systems, hybrid and multi‑cloud platforms, cybersecurity operations, and high‑performance computing (HPC) environments to support research and administrative missions.
**Expectations:**
- Establish and communicate strategic goals, performance metrics, and priorities.
- Align infrastructure initiatives with organizational strategy and mandates.
- Deliver projects on time and within budget.
- Ensure security, compliance, and resilience across all platforms.
- Foster collaborative partnerships with internal stakeholders and external industry partners.
- Drive modernization, cost‑efficiency, and service innovation.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Define strategic direction, goals, and performance measures for the infrastructure team.
- Oversee budgeting, staffing, and resource allocation.
- Lead the cloud platform strategy: migration, integration, governance of hybrid and multi‑cloud environments.
- Manage cybersecurity operations to protect data, systems, and networks.
- Evolve the HPC environment to meet research workload demands.
- Build and maintain relationships with internal departments, federal agencies, and industry partners; negotiate service level agreements (SLAs).
- Assess infrastructure renewal needs and recommend modernization initiatives.
- Report on progress, risks, and benefits to senior leadership.
**Required Skills:**
- Strategic leadership and decision‑making in a complex IT environment.
- Expertise in cloud architecture (AWS, Azure, GCP) and hybrid/multi‑cloud governance.
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity frameworks, threat‑intelligence, and incident response.
- Experience managing HPC systems and large‑scale data‑intensive applications.
- Budgeting, financial stewardship, and resource planning.
- Vendor and partner relationship management.
- Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder engagement.
- Proficiency in IT governance, risk management, and compliance.
- Bilingual (English/French) with CBC/CBC level proficiency.
**Required Education & Certifications:**
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field (Master’s preferred).
- Professional certifications such as PMP, ITIL, CISSP, CISM, or relevant cloud vendor certifications (AWS/Azure/GCP).
- Demonstrated track record of managing enterprise‑scale IT programs and teams.
