Job Title: Sr BI Data Analytics Engineer
Role Summary: Senior engineer responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining medium‑to‑complex data warehouse ETL processes, reporting, and analytics for a global consumer contact center. Utilizes Microsoft SQL Server, SSIS, T‑SQL, C#, Tableau, and cloud data platforms to deliver actionable insights and support business decisions.
Expectations: Deliver high‑quality, SLA‑compliant ETL and BI solutions; collaborate with cross‑functional teams; ensure data accuracy, integrity, and performance; continuously improve processes and tools; provide clear documentation and user support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, code, and maintain SSIS packages, T‑SQL stored procedures, and C# routines for data extraction, transformation, and loading across on‑premises and cloud sources.
- Create and manage a data warehouse environment, including star schema design, table structures, and indexing strategies.
- Build dashboards, scorecards, and KPI reports in Tableau (or similar) for monitoring agent quality, contact center efficiency, and vendor performance.
- Monitor, tune, and troubleshoot SQL queries and ETL jobs to meet performance and data accuracy targets.
- Document data extraction specifications, report designs, and system procedures.
- Lead project planning, prioritize work streams, and identify dependencies in collaboration with business and engineering stakeholders.
- Administer reporting systems (user/role provisioning, deployments, change control) and maintain governance standards.
- Analyze metric trends and recommend dashboard layouts and process improvements.
Required Skills:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in data warehousing, ETL, and BI development.
- Advanced T‑SQL, SSIS, and stored procedures on Microsoft SQL Server.
- C# programming for data extraction via APIs or other interfaces.
- Tableau (or equivalent) reporting and dashboard creation.
- Knowledge of Snowflake or similar cloud data architecture.
- Design and deployment of normalized and dimensional (star schema) databases.
- Strong SQL fundamentals; proficiency with tools such as SSMS or Toad.
- Experience with SharePoint, Power BI, Excel macros, or Windows scripting (preferred).
- Ability to interpret operations KPIs, forecast, and advise on analytics strategy.
- Background in customer service, operations, retail, CRM, or B2C e‑commerce is advantageous.
Required Education & Certifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a quantitative field (or equivalent work experience).
