Job Description

Job Title: Director, IT and Security Operations Role Summary: Lead enterprise IT and security operations, ensuring the reliability, performance, and compliance of Microsoft 365 and Azure platforms. Drive day‑to‑day IT functions, incident response, vulnerability management, and project delivery while fostering a culture of continuous improvement. Expectations: - Maintain 99.9% availability of key IT services. - Uphold compliance with NIST, ISO 27001, and regulatory requirements. - Deliver security‑focused projects that align with business objectives. - Mentor and grow a high‑performance operations team. Key Responsibilities: - Oversee infrastructure, cloud services, and end‑user support. - Enforce IT and security policies, standards, and best practices. - Manage security operations: monitoring, incident response, vulnerability management. - Collaborate with risk management to assess and mitigate technology risks. - Lead and mentor team members; resolve help‑desk escalations. - Direct and prioritize IT/security projects, coordinating with stakeholders. - Manage vendor relationships and operating budgets, ensuring cost efficiency. Required Skills: - Expertise in Microsoft 365 administration and Azure cloud services. - Strong knowledge of ITIL principles and security operations. - Experience with regulatory compliance (NIST, ISO 27001, etc.). - Leadership, communication, problem‑solving, and team‑management skills. - Project management and stakeholder coordination. - Vendor and budget management. - Automation scripting and operational efficiency tools. Required Education & Certifications: - Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field (Master’s preferred). - 8+ years of progressive IT experience, including 3+ years in a security leadership role. - Certifications: Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator or Azure Solutions Architect; CISSP, CISM, or ITIL (preferred).
