Job Description: **Job Title:** Software Engineer **Role Summary:** Develop, test, and deploy software solutions for distributed data systems and cloud‑native platforms. Collaborate with cross‑functional teams, take ownership of modules or features, and receive mentorship from senior engineers. **Expectations:** - U.S. citizenship; work performed within the continental United States. - Active Secret security clearance. - On‑site work (Colorado Springs, CO) with up to 15 % travel. - Obtain Security+ certification within the first 90 days of employment. **Key Responsibilities:** - Design, implement, and maintain backend services (RESTful APIs, WebSocket) and front‑end components. - Contribute to architecture and design pattern decisions. - Integrate and operate Big Data, cloud, and security tools (e.g., Spark, Kafka, Docker, Kubernetes). - Participate in agile SDLC processes, code reviews, and continuous integration/continuous deployment pipelines. - Support monitoring and logging using ELK Stack and related observability tools. **Required Skills:** - Proficient in C, C++, Java, JavaScript, Python. - Experience with front‑end frameworks (React or Angular). - Familiarity with enterprise frameworks (Spring Boot, Play, Quarkus). - Hands‑on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and container orchestration (Kubernetes). - Working knowledge of databases (PostgreSQL, Neo4j, SQL). - Experience with data streaming and processing (Kafka, Spark). - Competence with DevOps tools: Docker, Git/GitLab, Terraform, Artifactory, Linux. - Understanding of security tools (Suricata, Zeek) and ELK Stack. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, or related field **and** ≥ 3 years relevant experience **or** Master’s degree **and** ≥ 1 year experience. - Security+ certification (to be obtained within 90 days). - Preferred: SAFe for Teams certification; AWS Associate Developer certification and AWS Specialty Security certification (or demonstrated AWS CLI/Boto competence) within one year of start.
