**Job Title:** Principal Salesforce Developer
**Role Summary:**
Senior Salesforce technologist and SME who architects and delivers end‑to‑end solutions across Sales, Service, and Marketing Cloud. Leads platform strategy, health, security, and scalability while mentoring developers and collaborating with business and IT leaders. Approximately 40 % of time spent on hands‑on coding.
**Expectations:**
- Serve as the primary Salesforce expert and point of contact.
- Design scalable, user‑friendly solutions that align with business goals.
- Maintain platform performance, security, and data governance.
- Lead development standards, code reviews, and CI/CD processes.
- Oversee deployments, releases, and integration initiatives.
- Produce clear documentation, diagrams, and training materials.
- Communicate effectively with technical teams and executive stakeholders.
- Travel up to 20 % for project work and operate in a hybrid (3 days onsite) environment.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Architect and implement solutions for Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, and Marketing Cloud.
- Build custom functionality using Apex, Lightning Web Components, APIs, and platform tools.
- Guide implementation partners and mentor internal developers/administrators.
- Own deployment pipelines, release management, and CI/CD (Salesforce DX, Git).
- Ensure platform health, optimization, and scalability through monitoring and proactive tuning.
- Enforce data governance, security, and compliance standards.
- Conduct solution design reviews, create technical documentation, and deliver training.
- Participate in full‑cycle Salesforce implementations from requirement gathering to production rollout.
**Required Skills:**
- 9+ years of Salesforce platform experience; 7+ years of hands‑on development (≥20 % coding).
- Deep expertise in Sales Cloud and Service Cloud.
- Strong architectural and leadership abilities.
- Proficiency with Apex, LWC, Salesforce DX, Git, CI/CD, and release management.
- Experience integrating Salesforce with APIs, middleware, ETL, or ERP systems.
- Agile delivery experience (Jira or similar).
- Excellent written and verbal communication for both technical and executive audiences.
**Required Education & Certifications:**
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related technical field.
- Preferred: Salesforce Certified Platform Developer I & II, Salesforce Certified Application Architect, or equivalent Salesforce certifications.
