Job Description
**Job Title** Project Manager Data Business Analyst **Role Summary** Lead the full delivery cycle of data‑centric initiatives within an insurance technology environment. Combine strong business analysis with project management, governance, vendor liaison, and data technology expertise to transform business needs into compliant, scalable data solutions. **Expectations** - Own end‑to‑end project lifecycles: planning, execution, monitoring, and closure. - Deliver high‑quality data products on time, within budget, and in compliance with regulatory and internal standards. - Champion Agile practices where appropriate and manage change control. - Onboard and continuously improve partner data pipelines for straight‑through processing. - Maintain stakeholder alignment, risk mitigation, and clear communication across time zones. **Key Responsibilities** - Translate business requirements into clear, testable technical specifications for data solutions. - Create and maintain project plans, timelines, milestones, critical path analyses, RAID logs, and status reports. - Lead project governance: steer‑committee preparation, status reporting, escalation handling, and stakeholder communication. - Coordinate cross‑functional squads, perform capacity planning, and safeguard scope, quality, and velocity. - Manage vendor/outsource relationships: contracts, SLAs, performance monitoring, and compliance with data governance. - Track and manage budgets, estimates, variance analysis, and risk budgets; develop mitigation and contingency plans. - Deliver Agile ceremonies (sprints, daily stand‑ups, reviews, retrospectives) and coordinate change control. - Facilitate onboarding of new MGAs/TPAs and champion data quality and end‑to‑end lead‑time improvements. **Required Skills** - 5+ years experience as a Data Business Analyst and Project Manager in insurance or data‑focused finance. - Strong skills in business analysis, process mapping, stakeholder management, and requirement documentation. - Proficient in resource and capacity planning, vendor management, and procurement processes. - Advanced knowledge of risk, quality, and change management in complex programs. - Familiarity with data governance and compliance frameworks (GDPR, insurance regulations). - Solid data technical literacy: relational databases, ETL, BI, analytics, and cloud data platforms. - Understanding of insurance data models (underwriting, claims, policy administration, delegated authority, bordereaux). - Knowledge of Snowflake, Polaris, or commercial bordereaux tools is a plus. - Agile mindset, comfortable with both waterfall and hybrid delivery. - Excellent facilitation, influence, communication, and cross‑cultural collaboration skills. **Required Education & Certifications** - Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field. - Certifications: BCS/IIBA Business Analysis, CSM/PSM Agile; additional certifications in data governance or cloud platforms are advantageous.
