Job Description
**Job Title** C/C++ Development Engineer – Human–Machine Interfaces (F/M) **Role Summary** Design, develop, and maintain client‑facing human–machine interfaces (HMIs) using C/C++. Deliver high‑quality, maintainable code, collaborate with cross‑functional teams, and ensure user‑centric solutions. **Expectations** - Deliverable focus on HMI components in C/C++ environments. - Act as a client liaison – clear communication, requirement gathering, and proactive updates. - Demonstrated ability to work within an entrepreneurial IT consulting environment, aligning technical work with career aspirations. **Key Responsibilities** 1. Analyze functional specifications and translate them into robust HMI modules written in C/C++. 2. Design UI architecture, create reusable components, and integrate with backend systems. 3. Implement unit and integration tests; ensure code quality through peer review and static analysis tools. 4. Collaborate with project managers, designers, and clients to refine requirements and deliver schedule‐aligned solutions. 5. Provide technical support for deployed HMI applications, troubleshooting bugs and applying patches. 6. Document design decisions, coding standards, and user guidance for both internal teams and clients. **Required Skills** - Strong C/C++ programming proficiency; experience with UI frameworks (e.g., Qt, MFC, Win32). - Familiarity with embedded or real‑time systems is an asset. - Version control (Git/Perforce), debugging, profiling, and test‑driven development. - Excellent communication and client‑management skills; able to present technical concepts to non‑technical stakeholders. - Self‑motivated, detail‑oriented, and comfortable in a dynamic consulting setting. **Required Education & Certifications** - Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (preferably Master’s/Bac+5). - Minimum 3–5 years of professional experience in C/C++ development for UI/UX or embedded applications. - Proven track record of delivering client‑focused HMI solutions and collaborating across cross‑functional teams.
